Health and wellbeing consultancy groups Inside Out Nutrition and Wellness Academy are cobining forces to launch a global corporate wellbeing initiative to address what they term as the "time-bomb" factor of excessive pressure in workplaces across the world.
This initiative will be launched during a one-day Health4Life event named "Tackling the Stress Factor" to be held at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in central London on 22 January 2010.
The partners's objective is to bring together international health and wellbeing professionals under one roof, ensuring that senior executives are able and fit to lead effectivelyand employees are able to work effectively .
The speaker line-up aim to enable delegates to learn how to care for their health, improve company balance sheets and corporate culture by recognising and dealing with symptoms of chronic stress. Stress is responsible for triggering illnesses like strokes, heart attacks, cancer and diabetes .
The travel industry is affected by high stress levels as a high percentage of industry executives suffer from adverse effects of stress, such as, depression, anxiety, insomnia, brain fog, as well as aching joints and muscles.
It is good business acumen for employers to take greater responsibility for employee health given the present climate a lot of us work in.
The amount of absence, under-performance and disruption presents a strong business case for stress management .
Should you book early bird rate for attending the Health4Life London launch event, Tackling the Stress Factor, is £135 should you register by 30 November. From 1 December the ticket price goes up to £160.
