British Airways has been condemned for leaving sick passengers stranded whilst it sells new tickets at extortionate prices.
At present there are two travellers stuck in Mumbai, India, who need medical aid; their pleas for help appear to have fallen on deaf ears.
One of the travellers was a diabetic, whose bag containing insulin was taken and then lost. The other traveller is a cancer patient who needs crucial treatment.
Dr Erica Wald, 34, of the London School of Economics, who is also stranded in India after the en bloc cancellations of flights as a result of the volcanic ash cloud, was due to return from a research trip last week
Yesterday she voiced her anger after she was informed that she would only be returning home on May 6, while the airline is selling new one-way tickets for £2,000.
