Cricket legend, Ian Botham, is going to open a diabetes centre in Surrey.
Since 2003, he has supported the appeal for the diabetes centre.
The specialist diabetes care Centre has taken two years to construct and is to be opened officially on May 20 by Ian Botham.
The Stephanie Marks Diabetes Resource Centre at St Peter's Hospital, in Chertsey, has been built to commemorate a local teenager who died in 2002.
Stephanie died from complications due to Type 1 diabetes aged just 17.
The ex-cricketer, is the patron of the appeal which has raised more than £1m for the centre.
The building is going to offer out-patient treatment, education for patients, clinicians and medical research .
